Chatsworth House
Nestled in the Derwent Valley on the banks of the river and surrounded by 1,000 acres of parkland Chatsworth House has been voted the nation’s favourite stately home. The country residence of the Duke of Devonshire, the house and gardens are open daily from the middle of March until New Year while the beautiful landscaped park is accessible all year round
Chatsworth House is just three miles from The Old Station House B&B, a short drive – or an easy walk along the picturesque Derwent Valley Heritage Way.
Alternatively, those feeling more energetic can climb the hill opposite our house and take one of the most beautiful walks in the Peak District across Beeley Moor to the Hunting Tower above Chatsworth House itself, enjoying stunning views across the Derwent Valley along the way.
Come and take this beautiful walk with me virtually in just three minutes on Youtube.

Public Transport is also an option with the 217 bus route passing from door to door.
Whether you leave the car behind or not, Chatsworth is a fantastic day out for all the family and the Old Station House B&B is the perfect base from which to plan your visit.
