Tis the season – or at least it will be before we know it. Mince pies are on sale in Sainsburys so I thought it was about time that I posted the calendar for the Christmas Markets hereabouts this year.
Chatsworth Christmas Markets start on 7th November and run everyday until 13th December. Entrance to the market is free, but unless you arrive on public transport (or walk from The Old Station House) then car parking has to be pre-booked and will be between £15-£30 for the whole day or £10-£20 from 3pm. If you book to visit the House & Garden Christmas event then parking is included in the price of £36 per adult. Click here for more information
Haddon Winter Mercatum – starts on 11th November and runs Wed-Sun until 20th December. The market is held through Haddon Hall itself as well as the garden and grounds. Tickets are for morning 9.15am-12.45pm or afternoon 1pm-4.30 and cost £13.60 per head. Twilight tickets are available from 3pm-4.30pm at the same price. However, there is a cheaper Green Travel ticket for those who go by bus (or presumably walk from The Old Station House for £10.50 per person. Click here for more information
