Want to step back in time to the 1940s when Britain was at war and “careless talk cost lives”? Peak Rail at Rowsley South Station will be hosting a fabulous 1940s weekend on 4th and 5th July 2026 with period re-enactors, vehicles and displays, vintage stalls and memorabilia, 1940s entertainment, World War II re-enactments with Howitzer firings not to mention the fabulous steam train trip to Matlock through the Derbyshire Dales countryside.

Whether you are a history buff, a vintage enthusiast or just love steam trains this weekend has something for everyone (1940s dress encouraged but not required).
