Please note that there may be a pause when the phone starts to ring, which is usual as we have several wireless extensions which take a couple of seconds to register the call. It is also possible that the phone may be diverted to a mobile when we are out. If this is the case the call will NOT cost you any extra as we pay the diversion charges.

Getting Here

By Train & Bus

The nearest train station is Matlock which is the last stop on the branch line from Derby and can also be reached on a direct train from Nottingham. From Matlock catch the Transpeak or 6.1 bus to Rowsley. These buses then go onto Bakewell, with the Transpeak running between Derby and Manchester.

The best mainline station is Sheffield. From there walk across the covered walkway to the Bus Station and catch the 218 to Bakewell and then change to the Transpeak or 6.1. The 218 is a very beautiful bus route through the spectacular scenery of the Peak District National Park, on Sundays even stopping at Chatsworth House.

Coming from Bakewell or Chatsworth, once you reach Rowsley, the bus stops just around the corner from the house by the East Lodge Country House Hotel. Walk back around the corner where the bus has come from and we are the second house on the other side of the road, with the B&B signs in the window and above the front door.

Coming from Matlock alight at the Peak Village bus stop, cross the road and walk back up the hill in the direction the bus has come from. Take the first turning left, just before the main road bends to the right, and we are the second house on the left.

By Car

From the M1 take Junction 28 and follow the signs to Matlock. When you reach Matlock follow the A6 signposted to Bakewell for five miles until you reach Rowsley. Turn right onto the B6012 (signposted to Chatsworth) just as the road enters the village and we are the second house on the left. Our car park is 40m further along the road, just before the bus stop.

Coming from the North along the A6, Rowsley is the next village after Bakewell. Once you have reached Rowsley the main road goes over the bridge and then uphill before bending to the right. Take the left turn just before the bend and we are the second house on the left.

Coming from Chatsworth, follow the road into Rowsley and down the hill. Just passed the right turn into Hinckley Court our car park is on the same side just after the bus stop. The Old Station House is 40 metres further along, the middle house of the terrace of three on the right, just before the junction with the A6. There is a B&B sign is above the front door and another in the front window.
