Did you know that our local town of Bakewell is not only home to the famous pudding (not a tart!), it is also holds one of largest farmers markets in the country?

Generally held on the last Saturday of every month from 8.30am-1.30pm in the Agricultural Centre, the market is so popular that many of the 50 stall holders sell out before closing time. 2026 dates are as follows:

The market is very popular with our guests who often ask me to keep their purchases of rare breed sausages, cheese etc. in the fridge until they are ready to take them home – something I’m always very happy to do.
