  • star ratingLovely place to stay - This place is a hidden gem, its quirky in a great position for hiking, walking, Chatsworth and Haddon Hall, also Matlock. Stayed for two nights in December and it was lovely, spotlessly clean, beautiful breakfast, and Victoria was excellent with knowledge about the area. Rooms have everything you want - they are not massive but perfectly functional - just perfect for what we wanted. Really reasonably priced with a parking area as well.

star ratingLovely! - Vickie took such good care of us! We had a lovely room and full English breakfast in the morning. Her red book is full of information for shopping, restaurants, walks/hikes, and things to do. There is much in a short distance that is easy to walk.

star ratingTwo night super stay - Just returned home from staying two nights here. Booked here as it was really close to Chatsworth house which we were going to. Fab B and B which ticked all the right boxes for what we wanted. Lovely host and great breakfast. B and B within a really short walk to pub which was cosy and served great food. Would return here when in area next

  • star ratingPerfect stay - Cuts welcoming accommodation. Very friendly host. Good breakfast. Rooms a bit compact but good enough to put your head down. Very clean, brilliant service. Only thing is, the photo on their website and booking platforms is very misleading, but this didn't spoil the stay. Definitely come again.

star ratingOur welcoming and friendly weekend near Chatsworth - It was a joy to return at night from a day out in beautiful surroundings to the smell of freshly baking bread that, in the morning is served as warm Toast , accompanying a superb cooked breakfast. This lady's attention to detail is meticulous. Our host was knowledgeable about the local area and accommodating in all respects. We will be returning (hopefully) to stay in this B&B. We loved the location and facilities. Thank you for a lovely stay. Eric & Marcella.

star ratingVery enjoyable stay - We have just had a very enjoyable stay at The Old Station House. The location was perfect for us as we were walking in The White Peak.
On-site car parking and a short 5 minute walk to a pub chain for something to eat was a real bonus.
Our room was cosy and well equipped with very comfortable beds and linens so that we each had a very good night’s sleep.
The tasty, home cooked breakfast completed a very good value and pleasurable stay which we would happily repeat.

  • star ratingFabulous B&B, Fabulous Derbyshire, Fabulous geocaching! - We stayed here for 4 nights and this was our first time in Derbyshire. We wanted to see Chatsworth house and also visit an old school friend who lives in the area as well as doing some Geocaching.
We always check out an area for the amount of geocaches then decide on where to stay! The old Station house bed and breakfast was centrally situated to suit our needs, 10 minutes from Chatsworth and in reach of some good geocaching series near Bakewell! Perfect!
The communication with the owner of the b&b was exceptional and nothing was any trouble for her. We had the bedroom with the twin beds but she made them up into a super king size bed for us.
She gave us detailed instructions as how to find the house and where to park, there are 3 dedicated parking spaces for guests, which is good as parking is at a premium on the road.
Check in was 4:30 and as we got there early afternoon we parked up and let the owner know our car was parked and we were going for something to eat. This was not a problem, so off we went to the nearest pub The Grouse and Claret 😡 read our review on TripAdvisor about this pub meal!
We checked into our lovely home/ b&b for the next 4 days.
There are some steep stairs to the bedrooms but we managed and we're in our mid 60's.
Our bedroom was clean and tidy with an en-suite shower room. A lovely warm duvet which we could happily brought home with us! 🤣
The shower water pressure was a tad low but in this day and age we should all be saving water.
After a good night's sleep we were looking forward to our breakfast to set us up for a day at Chatsworth house and we were not disappointed! It kept us going for the best part of the day and the home made bread was particularly delicious 🤤
We couldn't fault our stay at all, the owner and her lovely mum made our stay special, thank you!
We would highly recommend this bed and breakfast, the area and the geocaching!
We will be back as there is just so much more we want to do.
