Exciting News!! This Saturday 21st February Peak Rail Heritage Railway are running “The Night Shift.” This event celebrates the railways of yesteryear in the dark. Witness the charm of a vintage railway coming to life at night with paraffin lamps lighting the way and steam locomotives evoking times long past as they travel the line between Rowsley South and Matlock Station, the last train completing its journey just before 10pm.

There will be Live Music to enjoy with local caft beers and ales and for the true enthusiasts a chance to take a ride on a traditional Brake Van with the burning stove of a steam engine!

Not only are we very close to the Peak Rail in terms of distance, we are truly a part of this great railway heritage here at The Old Station House, built for the Station Master of a station on the very same railway line on which Peak Rail now celebrates the great age of Steam – right on our doorstep!
