Mercatum Christmas Market 2026 – Tickets now on sale!

I never thought I’d be talking about Christmas in June, but here goes…

Haddon Hall have just released tickets for their Christmas Markets known as Mercatum. This market just keeps getting better and better – and its not just me saying that because we are on the doorstep. The UK press voted it one of the nation’s Top 10 last year.

As in previous years, Mercatum 2026 will take place in the beautifully decorated rooms, galleries and courtyard of magical, Medieval Haddon Hall, just two miles from The Old Station House. The market showcases the work of true local artisans who are usually selling their own beautifully handcrafted wares themselves. There is always a diverse range of crafts, including ceramics, art, chocolates, jewellery, candles, artisan stationery, perfumes, woodwork, unique handmade fashion pieces and much more. I always spend far too much money – usually on myself even though I’m supposed to be buying Christmas presents. Oops

The markets run Wed-Sun from 11th November to 20th Decembers and tickets are available for either morning, afternoon or twilight sessions. Anyone arriving by public transport can book an all-day discounted Green Ticket so come and stay with us and take the 2 mile bus journey – or if the weather is good you can stroll over the hill and enjoy the wonderful views of the Derbyshire Wye valley on your way – and then catch the bus back. Tickets always sell out so don’t wait too long.

Why not book a two night stay at The Old Station House and enjoy both Chatsworth at Christmas and Haddon Hall’s Mercatum to really get you in the Christmas spirit!
